Shropshire Autism Hub

Shropshire Autism Hub is the umbrella for a range of services provided by a partnership of organisations for autistic adults over 18 in Shropshire, and for families, carers and professionals.  It is a needs-led service – meaning that the services are based on the needs of each individual.

We offer impartial and reliable information and advice about autism and the services on offer in Shropshire. We create an inclusive environment where individuals can feel safe and welcomed, and we bring together services offering support.

We also offer information about seeking an Autism Assessment and pre-diagnostic and post-diagnostic support.

Pre-diagnostic support includes helping you to explore whether you want to get a diagnosis and the pros and cons of doing so and support to complete assessment forms.

Post Diagnostic Support includes helping you to explore what the diagnosis means for you

Our Autism Assessment support is in partnership with the NHS and our service operates within the NHS Choice Framework

In order to deliver a responsive service that meets needs, we may occasionally need to review numbers actively accessing our service. This is in order to ensure we can respond to higher levels of support needs by maintaining a level of “flow” in and out of the hub.

We take a person-centred approach to this.

Autism Assessment

We offer a first point of contact for people who are concerned that they may be autistic and believe that it is impacting on their lives, and for people who have received a diagnosis.

Calm Cafe
The Louise House calm cafe is open 10am – 3pm Tuesday – Thursday, serving drinks, snacks and light lunches.  It is open to anyone using Louise House.
